The Team Pride Recycled Metal Wall Art Football is handmade original art by Florida based “flamed chased” metal artist Kevin Webb. Each unique piece is flame painted with vivid bold colors that reflect light and showcase the officially licensed Team logo graphic. No two are exactly alike! Can be hung on wall with round hang hole provided or placed on table easel. Lightweight and durable, it’s the perfect art piece for display in any indoor/outdoor room, fan cave, office or college dorm room.
Born and raised on the south shore of Lake Erie, Kevin Webb was accustomed to icy sleds, snowball fights and open stadium football games in blizzard conditions! Finding indoor activities was essential during those cold winter months, so at an early age, he developed his skills as an artist. Throughout Webb’s life, including college and a twenty-three-year suit and tie sales career, he always had creative projects in the works. The frozen metal bleachers of the football stadiums couldn’t compete with his creative spirit and desire to move to a warm climate, so he packed up his truck, hung up his suit and tie, and headed south to pursue his dream as a “flame-chased” metal sculptor. Today, Webb spends his days outdoors at his Florida studio with a cutting torch, welder, and loud music, creating a metal menagerie of Florida wildlife, including fish, crabs, geckos, turtles and yes, footballs!
Each piece is colored with a mix of polymer enamels and epoxy sealants, with a high gloss finish achieved from the curing process. Webb uses recycled materials including roofing metals, wine bottles and fencing wire.
Webb’s work has been featured in galleries and fine art shows across the country.
